Mone'ica Slane

Moneica was born Feb. 12th in Stroud, a small town in central Oklahoma. And raised there on and off most of her life. Brought up in the First Assembly Of God church.
Singing in church was some of the earliest memories she had. "I don't remember a time I wasn't singing." said Mone'ica.

At 22 she met and married the love of her life Uel Slane.
"People say there is no such thing as destany, well I can prove em wrong." says Mone'ica.
She met Uel June 4, 1994 while he was playing at a club in Prague Oklahoma called B.J.'s. Some say it was love at first sight. They were married November 29, 1994 in Arkansas.
And have been happily married ever since.

Some of Mone'icas influences have been Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire and Gretchen Wilson to name just a few.
"I can remember going out into the garage with my little Karaoke player and singing till Mom told me I had to come in. The louder the better, I thought!" says Mone'ica..

Today she sticks to her country roots by singing the country music that inspired her those many years ago.
